LAMP DESIGNThis lamp design explores the intriguing dichotomy between protrusion and sustainment. the meticulously laser-cut paper circles, varying in size, are precisely folded to transform from two-dimensional forms into three-dimensional extrusions. The expansive, potentially invasive quality of these repeated three-dimensional elements is subdued by a consistent, minimalist white palette.
A subtle infusion of yellow light delicately permeates the circles, enhancing the COMPLEXITY OF THE piece in two ways: creating a soft luminescence that washes the forms with color and casting nuanced shadows that accentuate the three-dimensional quality, imbuing the work with vitality and movement. This interplay of light and shadow brings the piece to life, as if the forms themselves are engaged in a dialogue, whispering.
